Introduction
We’re so excited to show you how we make our machined parts! In this blog post, we’re going to take you on a step-by-step journey of how we create these parts from start to finish. It all starts with a block of material. We then use computer numeric controlled (CNC) machining to create the shape of the part. Once the part is shaped, it goes through a series of finishing processes including heat treating, plating, and more. Finally, it’s ready to be shipped off to our customer!
The Design Phase
The design phase is the first step in our process for machined parts. In this phase, we work with our customers to determine their specific needs and requirements. We then create a detailed design that meets those needs and requirements. Once the design is complete, we send it to our engineering team for approval.
The Machining Phase
After your design is finalized, it's time to start machining your parts. This is the process of taking raw materials and shaping them into your desired product using various tools and machines.
The first step in the machining phase is to create a prototype. This will help you perfect your design and ensure that everything will fit together correctly. Once you're happy with the prototype, it's time to start mass production.
To do this, we first create a tooling plan. This outlines all of the different tools and machines that will be needed to produce your parts. Next, we create the actual tools and machines that will be used. Once everything is in place, we can finally start machining your parts.
During this process, we pay close attention to tolerances and surface finishes. Tolerances are the allowable deviations from the desired dimensions of a part. Surface finish refers to the smoothness and accuracy of the final product's surface. By paying close attention to these two things, we can ensure that your parts meet all of your expectations.
Once all of your parts are complete, we'll give them a final inspection to make sure they meet all of our quality standards. If everything looks good, we'll package them up and ship them off to you!
The Quality Control Phase
The Quality Control (QC) phase is the last step in our process for machined parts. In this phase, we inspect the parts for any defects and make sure they meet all the specifications of the customer. We also test the functionality of the parts to make sure they meet the requirements of the customer.
